Just received my k700i yesterday (5 July 2004) as an O2 upgrade.
A few niggles...
1) The phone has reset itself a few time, twice from the camera mode and once whilst compiling an mms.
2) When setting the recurrent alarm the "OK" stage clears itself so,in your haste, you may think you have to press OK but this will then loop you around. Slight detail I know.
3) Thirdly and this is most worrying. This morning I had a problem with replying to a text message, that had been sent from a t68i.
The sender requested a reply. I replied but, after repeated attempts the message failed. However, when I deleted the recipient and then added the same contact from the phonebook, the message went without any problems.
On this latter problem, wondered if anyone had experienced the same?

I just had a problem of one reboot in video mode - nothing of missing contacts, SMS problems, "2" key sticking... nothing of that.

about the reply text msg problem i ve had this on a nokia it was when someone requests relpy via same msg centre. if you save to drafts then send should go through first time
tell them to change there settings cant see any reason why they would require a msg sent via same centre if anyone else knows if there are any advantages let me know

even if phone shows low battery, i can use it along time
for example yesteryday.. it started to show only 1pixel on the battery yesterday.. but yesterday night and today i have called ppl, listened much on radio and taken some pics, and the phone is still alive..

I only charge my battery when phone turns off itself. I charged it one time (I changed my "old" K700i by a new one because the older camera had too much noite) and it is lasting me 1 day with lots of BT transfers, SMS and some quick calls.

Mine also lasts about 1 day. i use it for average of 25 texts, 3 quick calls, a few pics and GPRS about 10 mins....charged 7-10 times now ans still only a day...firmware fix this u think?

Here are my complaints about the K700i after two days of usage
a) Cant search contacts with more than one letter. I have 490 contacts and more than 100 start from the letter 'S'. Imagine how much scrolling I have to do to dial the 50th contact starting from letter 'S'??
b) The web site, User manaul (Page 50-51) and white paper says that k700i has 'My Friend' Option. My phone is not 'Operator Branded' bought it directly from SE and it does NOT have 'My Friends' Option.
c) Can find the 'minute minder' option.
d) no 'SMS Chat' option
e) Still cant add two numbers under a contact with the same number type i.e. Mobile , office etc.
