Nokia developed the Series60/80 UI using the Pearl/Crystal reference design at about the same time Symbian develop the UIQ based on Quartz reference design. And that was sometime ago. Maybe u should take a step back and see what what problems P800 had when it was released.
Nokia develop the Series90 only recently. Given time it will stabilise like UIQ did. The main point here is that Nokia took all the reference designs and came out with its products whereas SE did not.
That was why SE was so against Nokia getting control of Symbian. SE is the most vocal. If Nokia did take control, they will surely canned UIQ because it is competing with Series60/90 and the fact it is also fragmenting SymbianOS itself.

I want proof and not what you have read.
I have my own experience to refer but that isn't proof enough for you of course so I will try to get one from my friend and find out if my info is wrong. For your sake I hope it is wrong but I'm pretty sure that isn't the case.

Recently? I'm hearing about it for ages. Taking the task of developing an Interface was their choice. And I'm sure Nokia has much bigger task force than UIQ...

No. SE was against it because Symbian would be all Nokia oriented leaving other brands behind.

i think it is more like u who would not want to admit to the validity of my point (on the memory card issue). If u trying to convince anyone that using MemoryStick is an advantage over SD, this is totally going against logic.

On hot swapping memory cards i think it is an advantage. However i will say if the card is large enough swapping is less of an issue. I have a 256 mmc in my current phone and a spare couple of 32 s never had to swap yet as i can get all i need on 1 card. If i was limited to 128 i would want my phone to have an easy way to swap cards. But users are diff and some may still need to swap a larger card more often than i do

Personally I prefer memorysticks because all the devices I use that support memory cards use memorysticks.

mib1800, my man, i am not trying to convince anyone that the memorystick is better. The only advantage is hot swapping, which everyone else has agreed, is poor design by nokia.
for the third time i have not once stated that the memory stick is more capable than nokias card. read my posts on the subject.
On the subject of UIQ, of course
will block any takeoverbids, they have poured millions, and hard labour, into research, why in gods name would they want all their, and everyone else's involved, hard work to be taken away from them?
