i don't know why you're panicking man. This phone is the same as every other phone released/ provides that are prone to heavt branding (vodafone t mobile orange) will do the same on this phone. Others might not. Simple as that.

Vodafone wins no matter what, as they've had their own sw doen already.

What bothers me is that it looks a bit as if there will be no theme creator for the public either for a while which is a shame I would have liked to try a few.

Apart from that...... i'm fairly sure there will be an unbranded version once voda's exclusive contract is up..... won't be next week but will be next year without a doubt.

Just chill

anyone know what kind of lock the V800 has? is it the same as Z1010 then it shouldn't be a problem to unlock it from vodafone.

Oh .. btw..

Why is the V800 called so, and not the Z800 like all other SE clamshells?

If the V denotes Vodafone, then why was the Voda exclusive F500 not called the V500?

Perhaps the non-branded phone will be called the Z800 - which sounds so much sexier

They wouldn't have, would they? Only Vodafone stores would have any current info. It's in fact even possible Voda gets to call the date on when the exclusivity is to be ended......... obviously no other provider or shop would know that prior to Voda's own release.

no man voda is not the one controlling.... voda is the one begging to SE to make V800 available only to them.... as long voda pays gd money to SE voda is in the game.... howeva.. SE cant juz let one of their babies be in voda's hands... I bet voda only has 2months contract wth SE and BOOM unbranded here I come.... coz SE knows unbranded has more potential of increasing sales...
