My son phoned this morning as he was told. He ended up with 500mins,400 texts and a free K750 for £15pm. Only problem is they don't have the K750 in stock so he was told that they couldn't put it through until it was in stock - early next week? - but they would put a note on his account saying what was agreed.

Hopefully that is what will happen.

Hi

I am just coming to the end of a really crap contract with Orange. Ive been with them for about 5 years now and am completely sick of them (wont go into why). But anyway, Im wanting to move to O2. What are the chances of getting a deal like the ones you have mentioned but as a new customer?

Ill probably ring them and see what they offer, but just wondered if anyone had any experience on this.

Cheers for any help
Ben

hi, I have just rang up the O2 (cpw) to cancel my contact in order to get a better deal... I told him 3 has offered 500xnet/ 400 text for 15 pounds/m

I am currently at 200xmin/100 text for 30 pounds/m

however he only offer me

200xmins/100text 15 pounds/m (double mins/texts for first three months)

foc w800i

150 pounds cheque back after the end of the contract.

I told him I would consider the deal and ring him later

is it a good deal? or should i give them another try later?

Hello ppl. Long time reader, first time poster. Ive had my o2 contract for just over a month now, and iv 400 txts, 250 xnet mins for £30 a month with the Samsung D500 (foc). I really wanted this phone however after having it for over a month and coming off the back of a Nokia 6630, i am gutted i changed to the D500.i hate it! lol. So i phoned up o2 and asked them if i could upgrade to the Nokia 6680. She said yes but theres none in stock at the moment but call back 2moro & we might have some in.I said "so i can upgrade no problem wen uv got it in with no charge" she sed yes. i said o so whats the charge? she said that will be free. so i was like great!
Is this right!?!?!? or has she got the wrong end of the stick!?!?!
anyone...?

Was thinking of trying the same, had my w800i for a month or so, wish I'd got the p910 now. Its free on the £19 a month on a 12 mth contract, not bad £228 for a p910. Still got my p900 but screens gone dicky,k750 joystick is buggered and now the number 5 button is dodgy on my w800.......

Still stick with SE tho .... till Apple bring out the ipod phone !!!!

Ok, i'm going for the big one ....
I've been on the 500 mins (anytime) and 100 texts for a year now (11 months...), and pay around £15 p/m, nice tariff..... But want the 8800 FREE or as close to free as possible
Spoke to them this morning (Team Leader of upgrades or something), and "she" offered it for £299!!! forget that, went around town, and o2 store said £249 - getting better.....
Ideally i woundn't mind paying another £50-150 for it, but they'll have to do something better with my tariff...
What do you think will make o2 offer it for less? Say i ask for more Data or just upgrade to the discount 750 tariff + 100/200 text for around £20-25, will they lower it closer to £100?
Any ideas from someone at o2? I know i'm getting greedy, especially with my t-mobile contract costing me £3 p/m (no cash-back crap and an K-Jam (Vario).... oh well, some people are lucky

p.s: what is a good deal at the moment for the 8800, so that o2 would price match? i know if they saw an legit deal (I quoted newspaper £30 p/m free 8800 ), they would offer it to me....

i'm due for upgrade from o2 in to my third year with them.
I'm on £20 pm, 500 text, 500 o2 off peak mins, 50 off peak xnet mins.
I used to get gprs for free but in the last two months they've started charging me
I asked for the nokia 8800 and got quoted about £400, av bill spend over 2 yrs of about £25. I paid £20 for my k700i last upgrade too.
If you increase your bill spend or tariff they would offer it cheaper.
I'd like to hear how you get on!

LOL,
I anit having much luck either, but dont pay more than £250 whatever you do.... they put customers in Bands (a,b,c all the way to L), and they calculate that on your monthly spend etc....

so, anyway, reason why i aint having much luck is because i've spoken to really up-tight reps.... I'm waiting for a kind rep to ask what has orange offered you the phone for; and i'll say £19.99 on YR 600 or £119.99 on YP300 and hopefully they'll match either one.... and then i'll be a happy bunny but problems are that i'm on 500 anytime Xnet mins +100 txt for £15 p/m.... not looking good at the moment, but i'll call again soon and speak to higher management
