@Nitro Fan

I'm not getting into a pissing contest with you because I haven't either the time or the inclination and its, quite frankly, a waste of time attempting to convince the inconvincible.

anders260 posted a vid a way back on page 142. That's quick enough for me and no doubt it will get faster.

Good to see you have dropped the name calling! But of course I always knew there was no demo that proved me wrong!

Just to drag things back to somewhere near topic, two points re: the UK release of this phone:-

1. The cheapest I have seen it offered is by Pay.com @ £499, whilst Expansys say £587.13...OUCH!

2. Neither site has moved their predicted release date in ages, with Play being hopelessly optimistic with 19th Feb, whilst Expansys say 22nd April.. SE's own buy now section still says TBC and gives the option to "Pre-Register".

Any info about UK date or pricing very welcome.

Cheers.

I actually saw a x10 live irl today, some guys from SE had it in my class.

They couldn't tell my much about it though... They said that they heard it's going to be released with
1,6 and then there would be upgrades to later versions.
One of the guys also had an iPhone and he said that writing sms was much harder (at least if you are used to an iPhone) since you can't press two letters at once, that didn't sound good and then i got another big disappointment
you can't buy apps from the android market in sweden since you can't pay for them yet.
This can be worth checking if you are gonna buy an android phone since not all countries allow you to buy apps yet.

I was talking to a man from SE in Vodafone's Strand branch in London today, he was saying that they are aiming for release a week before Easter, he didn't say too much else, apart from an app being available that puts the keyboard in Landscape ( I don't know if this is already possible or not),but he seemed certain on it being late next month to be released.

If it's any later please don't blame me!

Yea thats one place where the iPhone has other phones the balls, onscreen keyboard. The error correction and multitouch does wonders for the iPhone's soft keyboard...again this is where some sort of multitouch woulld be appreciated by the end user, especially seeing that it has no physical keyboard.

Other than that, I wish Sny Ericssoon would go ahead and release an offcial suggested retail price for the X10

Anyone know if the X10 has full Microsoft Exchange support

Multitouch is enable for the Nexus One now. Hopefully Google will enable it in all versions solving all multi-touch issues/complaints.

That's good news, but just in case we're worried that non Google branded handsets won't get Multitouch, then the review below should offer some re-assurance.

Link text...

Dolphin has been mentioned before, but apparently this newer version is even better. For me, web-browsing is the only time that multi-touch would be particularly useful so I'm happy.

I had a few minutes to play on this handset today. Based on my own personal view and observation the phone seemed nice and light with a lovely bright and very responsive screen. It seemed very fast too, however there wasn't really any content loaded on the handset to see how it really performed. Hopefully we will see it before Easter in the UK. I've been looking at this phone as my next upgrade since it was announced and my initial impression has made me feel it will be worth the wait.
