I got similar problem with the notification LED, sometimes it doesn't work with missed calls or sms
After I turn the Stamina mode off, the LED start to work again...
I believe the stamina mode turn of all of the function of the LED light, I hope Sony will fix this problem in their 4.2 update
AFAIK this is a planned behaviour.
Stamina turns led notifications off.

And since it's from France, I wonder if that means I got the inferior screen panel...?
