(^_^) More good news for some and bad news for others. My uncle said that sony will launch in the next months Xperia 4. This xperia will be relatively compact, but will not be global model.

If this phone too had a 21:9 screen and it was to be truly 'compact' then the screen might be too thin to be able to use comfortably. 16:9 with slimmer top and bottom bezels than the Z3 Compact would be the way to go IMO. Oh, and a metal frame.
More exclusive news by my uncle (^_^) Xperia 4 will be exclusive to docomo japan. And is relatively compact, but not very compact as before. Good or bad news is 710 snapdragon. Battery life in talks is higher that xz1 compact. wow
now my opinion, with 710, at least in terms of battery will be good. But for games it will be bad.
- When is 5G coming?
- Is there a 5K display resolution phone?

Good morning ppl...
I went to gsma and downloaded pics from 10/10+/xa2+...
Something is weird because both 10/10+ samples are 4000x3000, this means 12MP.
But specs of 10 says 13MP.
I resized pics of XA2+ to 4000x3000 to compared to new duo.
In my opinion there is a quality downgrade.

After knowing the Samsung sensors it's kind of obvious that Sony Mobile cheaped out on this year's midrange and possibly 1 too.
Old or not the IMX300 is a flagship sensor. But the corner softness is more noticeable and the processing leans towards more natural/colder tones. XA2+ gsmarena low light pic also shows more mature processing than XA2/XA2U.
At similar price XA2+ is a better option imo. %79 stb, 2:1 more common screen and 6gig ram option, not to mention the battery. So unless you want that 21:9 or zoom or more Android updates it's better to go with XA2+.
The 10+ f/1.8 might give it an advantage in low light but also it might lose that advantage because of sensor size.

The corner softness is easy to decrease when you change from 24mm to 27mm that is used now.
Probably only main cam of 1 may be exmor. I do not remember seeing any exmor 1/3.4" 12MP.
Lets suppose I make 4 phones here. All prototypes.
Phone A has 13MP 1/3", Phone B has 16MP 1/2.6", Phone C nas 20MP 1/2.3" and Phone D has 25 MP 1/1.9".
If I give same software to all them, of course D will do better and A will be the weakest.
Anyone knew Sony had a demo of flexible oled in 2009?

Just the same TrustedReviews article posted a few pages ago, but still good to see the information getting more attention.
Odd that we're not seeing more interviews though. I can't recall TrustedReviews being a place Sony would be first to give an interview to, but AFAIK this is the only interview of this kind that they've done.

Docomo is struggling where to put a logo mark on the Xperia 1 hahaha. Because the new xperia 1 has Sony and xperia logo mark on the back, there is no place to put Docomo logo mark. hahaha by my uncle.

Just what I have said ever since SE K750i.
Sony deliberately sabotaging for themselves by lowering the image quality. Makes one wonder if this stubbornness was worth all the loss in nice profit that mobile division could be having.
