Just wondering if anyone has noticed if the x10 will feature a lockable homescreen (pattern unlock, bog standard password, anything)? I've seen the 'slide to unlock' thing, which is pretty cool, but not what i'm after.

I'm pretty sure i've watched the majority of preview vids but maybe i missed something?

Aren't those lock screens available to all Android devices? I'm sure in the settings (or app store) you can activate the pattern unlock screen.

I've got my hands on a proto of X10.

But quite disappointed of the video recording quality.
Only 16fps on WVGA.

The build version is R1DA007.
Is this the latest build fellow proto owners?

Also can someone please help me with some PC drivers for it?

http://www.xperiax10.net/2009[....]confirms-recording-resolution/

The clip confirms that the Xperia X10 will record videos in WVGA (800 x 480) resolution. The clip had an average frame rate of 28.8 fps and minimum of 19.2 fps

About the screen thing....
There are amoled and amoled... I cant see a thing on my n85 amoled screen under direct sunlight so i thought that it will be the same on other phones. NOT TRUE
Having now both satio and omnia hd i put them under direct sunlight and the results were almost the same for each other (not the best performence i have seen but cleary much much better than n85)... so no advantage here of the satio screen not being amoled like i thought on the beginning.
But theres a lot of difference when these 2 screens are competing indoors... Satio screen is still very good but... it looks like crap next to omnia hd screen..

Conclusion: There are screens and screens

Genuine question - the Nexus One now has some multitouch functionality (specifically pinch-to-zoom in browsing, photos etc). Android 2.x was supposed to be multitouch-enabled anyway, though it's not clear how or if this gets used in one 2.x phone to the next. So has the Nexus One (or any other Android) now got a multitouch keyboard - ie the ability to register more than one keypress at a time? Personally I think that's probably the most important, day to day use of multitouch for me - it's not as headline grabbing or easy to demonstrate as pinch to zoom, but I think it makes a much bigger difference on a touchscreen only device.

It's not a matter of this firmware making it to the X10. Google has stated many many times that multitouch is available for use by developers. The ball is in Sony's court as to whether it gets implemented or not in the main applications.

Hi Guys, good news in general on the Multi-Touch front, with how much SE have riding on this, I can't see them not using it, now that the genie is out of the bottle. I am still un-certain as to UK dates and pricing..

Equally concerned by the mail I received from the SE shop today, bearing in mind that I am pre-registered for X10.

They say Vivaz is coming soon, but absolutely no mention of X10!?!

Please just let it come soon and nearly as cheaply here as mainland Europe!
