@brix

Agree. It's amazing how much money Apple makes with those apps. No wonder SE and Nokia have their own appstores and Samsung is joining the party.

@GUCCI

Whose Iphone have you stolen? LOL

@All

In 2007 ICASA awarded 5 licences for satellite services and the recipients promised to have the services up and running early 2008. Anybody remember that?

It's now 2009, actually, late in the year and nothing's come to fruition. We were even promised subscription fees of less than R200 a month for a full bouquet. Multichoice has had it too easy and did as is pleased, much like Telkom. I do think we'd be better off with competing companies. R496 is rather too much.

Anyone with current info regarding the above?

Okay Hobbs.
Hopefully, someone will have the latest info cause I really would like to know what happened.

When you guys speak of rugby you lose me completely. I really don't understand the sport. I only understand when they say the Springboks have won like they did the last 2 matches against New Zealand.

Now, when you talk cricket, soccer, boxing and athletics then I'm your man.

Good luck to the Boks.

@Dups! The licensing of new pay-tv operators is the biggest joke that Icasa has presided over. Chances are none of those guys who were licensed will ever get off the ground. OnDigital Media have been promising to launch since forever and they're probably the most likely since they actually got a satellite in the sky. Walking on Water and Telkom Media will most probably never see the offer any service. The latter was recently sold to a Chinese company.

Right now in bed, coughing my lungs out.

@brix25
Thanks a lot for that info. I'm really disappointed! Makes you wonder what are the terms of those licences.

On a more serious note, I'm home from work cause I'm feeling sick. From the doctor already and I asked for test to be done. I'm not someone who gets sick and am worried about H1N1. I've a bad headache, sore throat, sweating and a bit of coughing.

I'm actually reminded by you brix saying you are in bed.

Get well soon, bro.

Thanks guys.

Any of you guys know of a mobile music player that can look up song titles, albums by simply connecting it to the internet? Something similar to what Windows Media Player does. Got a bunch of tracks on my microSD and I need them to be sorted...song, album.
