@amir
LG has announced \"G Pro 2\" as key device in phablet realm
it can considering as 2014 first half flagship and will follow with the next iteration G3.
About Z1's camera update, I don't really understand what they thinking to put it on hold as well, compact digital is dead-end Sony should quit and focus more on mobile experience while keep pushing boundaries of RX-series and Alpha-series together.
Anyway, I'm thinking about to get \"Elvis 1020\" when it get more bargain price.

It has the same specs as the Note 3 pratically... s800, 3 GB Ram... more or less the same but without the S-Pen... best Phablet is still Note 3 hands down!
They also announced the LG G2 mini... obviously it is a LOT DOWNGRADED.... as of now the Z1 Compact is still the king in small size market

I get the feeling most other OEMs will not bother trying to compete with the Xperia Z1 Compact, they will continue to make "Minis" that are heavily downgraded and simply squeeze the Compact out on price, while riding on the flagships name, with 'Mini' at the end.
Sony NEED to market the sh*# out the Z1 Compact and educate the consumer on what they are missing out on.

I think you are right... this time they should be VERY aggressive with marketing... they have an Ace in their hand and they need to use it!!

@randomuser
Thanks. as sony fans we got to criticize sony, we are not sheeps.
@HxH
You are totally wrong about comparing lg (or samsung, or htc, etc.) strategy to sony's. they wisely announce a second flagship which is a phablet - different line, unlike sony. huge difference. no company but sony announce the same flagship line every half a year. not only that, they do mistake on mistake by naming it Z2 even though it's a refresh which should have never been announced anyway.

Please, Sony's smartphone sales have improved dramatically over the past year. They're doing something right. A lot of Galaxy S3 owners I know didn't care to skip the S4 because it wasn't much of an upgrade, and they only release ONE of those in a year. I don't think Z1 owners are going to be pissed off when they release Z2. At any rate, if something isn't broken, don't fix it.

Sony still have a confused lineup and sometimes, questionable Software chops. Fundamentally though, they make attractive products, that look nice and are well built. Even down to the low end. Only disappointments include poor screens, poor camera software, and inconsistant software support and slow update schedules (seriously, where is 4.4?)
