Eish what a weekend, with all the Metro Police out you'd expect people to drive carefuly, one of my close mates wrote-off his CITI Golf 1.6Rox after rear-ending a Toyota Tazz which then rear-ended a Jaguar that was in front of it, and then last night one of my college mates wrote-off his brand new 09 MINI Cooper, he was speeding down the N1, another car diagonaly in front of him on the left slammed on brakes and as he passed it clippd him, unable to get the car back in control he swerved to the left the car flipped and rolled 8times down an embankment. He escaped thankfuly with just a broken neck and a bit of a limp. Scary stuff,he's still freaked out about it. . . .drive safely guys, things like this make me so nervous to get behind the wheel again, you never know what the other motorist is thinking.

GUCCI:The importance of the following distance can't be stressed enough. I'm always driving with the thought that all the other drivers on the road are muppets out to cause accidents. Touchwood, I haven't had to slam my brakes to avoid getting killed.

Nooitie, Distric 9 is a SA movie!! That's amazing, props to SA. So what if the Nigerian Movie Industry is way larger than ours, it's the quality that counts . I have to watch it. Is it 100% SA?
Apparently it will only be released in SA next week, pretty odd...

District 9 Trivia:

The initial premise of the whole film is based on the Short Film Alive in Joburg (2005), written and directed by Neill Blomkamp, which depicted in a a documentary-style the struggles of social interaction between aliens and inhabitants of Johannesburg ("Joburg"), South Africa.

Ah man, this is exciting stuff... Neill had affiliations with Smallville and I don't know if you guys will remember, Stargate SG-1. Used to watch it religiously...

P1i pics taken this afternoon:

I put the ol' P900 next to the Apple Mac Mini to give some idea of how small it is . Amazing what specs are crammed into there.

As we're not visiting SA this year, some of the money that we saved for the holiday went into the better half's new computer.

@gola: Blomkamp was supposed to have made the Halo movie, produced by Peter Jackson but that project fell through. So instead Jackson gave him $30 million to make Aliens in Joburg into a full-length feature.
I'll definitely be watching it next week or whenever it comes out in SA.
@GUCCI: What's wrong with you? Why haven't you seen Tsotsi yet. Its an awesome flick and while you're at it go watch White Wedding is also brilliant. South African movies FTW!!
Nigerian movies don't come close with all their recycled story lines.
