Hi everyone.
I've just updated on Wotan and now I can't make outgoing phone calls. I can send texts and receive incoming calls, but not outgoing ones!
Anyone got any advice? I've tried the SIM card in my old phone and I can still call out on that one, so I'm guessing that it's a problem with the phone, maybe a setting that I need to change?
PLEASE HELP.

Hmm, it seems to have resolved itself. I turned the phone on this morning and it worked. Last night it worked if I turned off the 3G network and stayed on 2G, but this morning I went back on the 3G and I can call out again. Happy now.

This is not totally uncommon. It happens to me as well sometimes. I have to use GSM services and then all the features work. However if I switch to 3G, I can not make or receive calls. This is more than likely an operator issue. Your phone was probably fine all the time but it was coincidental that you had problems.

will it be possible for future apps to be able to record FM signals? will the phone be able to allow such programs?

How do you actually turn off the 3g signal without losing GPRS as well?

GPRS runs on the GSM system so you won't lose it by turning 3G off.
you can also switch the phone to Circuit-switched mode only which turns GPRS off, and only turns it on as needed as opposed to having it on all the time.

Do you mean radio stations or FM signals in general?
To create such a program could open up the vender to copyright infringement problems, as copying such "FM signals" would in most cases be against the law as the copied material would be subject to someone's approval. Second, where would these signals be stored once copied? Third, the only software that could be used (I could be wrong here), would have to be written in Java most likely and at the end of the day, Java is slow and not the most stable even on these phones. Fourth, why would anyone want to record signals in the first place as the quality would be crap.
