I've been monitoring PILTEL for quite some time now and some of you know my move as soon as they dump their amps/namps system.

What I heard from the market is that JG will buy PLDT's stake. Now why would First Pac Ltd. sell their crown jewels here and keep the floundering Boni Land. Best bet is properties in Bonifacio will be packaged in the deal. A lot of rumors floating around in the business community. Like they say, where there's smoke, there's fire. The likelihood is there's at least some truth to it.

@dan: MPC actually hit ceiling today before correcting at close. Now if the rumour is true that JGS will buy 50 hectares in Boni, MPC may continue to move up. Pero short term play lang yan. As for DGTL if the rumor is true, Baka kaya pang umakyat. Remember below par value pa rin ang presyo ng DGTL. Last high was around 0.75 a couple of months ago and we've broken that resistance already. Next resistance is around 0.81 which was the high in Jan of 2001. Even that has been broken. Your looking at a new player in the cellular provider industry suddenly complimenting Smart and will definitely be a threat to Globe if merged. Of course you may say a merger this early is presumptuous, but look at the bandwidth PLDT will have if/when you combine Smart/PLTL/DGTL.

Then again, too many what ifs. Only time will tell ... then again, if/when the announcement is made it may already be too late. I've heard an announcement may be made as early as tonight. We'll have to wait and see. My guess is it DGTL and MPC can still move up. But it could be a sell on news.
