2 Degrees auctioned off 85 popular numbers for a children's charity recently. You may be out of luck.

Mention the fact you might leave Vodafone when you cancel the plan, and sit back and watch while they throw offers at you. It's great!
You might end up staying on Vodafone if they offer you anything good enough.
A Vodafone rep called yesterday trying to get her to sign up to a 2yr term.
I was going to cancel my plan when Super Prepay was announced; the deal they offered made me change my mind.
So we'll see.

Yeah I saw that, but there's got to be some vaguely memorable ones left. Some of the ones they auctioned weren't all that great.

Yeah, I have a few ideas but none that are very stand out. I'm annoyed that my name is 6 letters and not 7! Though I bet it would be taken already if it were 7 letters. Might try 0224OLIVER.

Great post in your new thread there carkitter. I'll add it to the first post of this thread when I'm on my Mac, probably later on today. I didn't want to spoil your work by posting this there, so I'm doing it here.
Perhaps you could add in a few more details of XT's texting deals. Like the $12 for 600 texts to any mobile and so on.
Also, possibly the fact that Telecom gives you 25% extra for free with any top-up, and that 2degrees are doing their 'magic' thing.
Otherwise awesome stuff, and I'll let you know if I think of anything more.

Haha! you beat me to it.
The post is
here. Check it out!
If anyone has any more info to add, PM me or post here.
@M-O
Are my comments on Chch and Dunedin passable? Could you suggest any better comments?
I want to keep it simple, there are plenty of links for people to use.
Added some info about the top-up bonuses.
The Vodafone forum gets a lot of questions about this stuff and it's kinda awkward to answer in a non-partisan way when overseen by Vodafone staff...

Nice one.
Perhaps Dunedin could be described as cold (southern-most major city) and a student haven?
Christchurch is called the garden city, but otherwise English suits it fine. Not much to brag about here.
