I bought one for about 300GBP here in dubai from a sort of market, it's not bad, haven't had much time to play with it as i'm still here on holiday, might give a mini review, but by the time i get back it might be sold! It has a weird sort of keypad so I'll get a UK version, the build feels quite good, although the size is a bit of a problem (i've been used to an 8800 the past year) but you'll get used to it. I'm not too sure if it's an official release version or not, but there are posters at the dubai airport for the p990i so it's release here isn't far off at all... and all shops stock the m600i as it is.

@kk.226
can you check the RAM - how much is available for user apps?

yeah, can imagine that it must feel huge compared to 8800. But believe it or not, I'm using a P800 (don't laugh) and I'm sure it will feel much smaller/lighter.
(had a few mishaps with phones in between, had to bring the 800 out of its slumber

)

Check the inside of the phone...
If there is somewhere "p990i" it's the consumer version!
Maybe if you have the normal box etc. than you also might have the real thing!

so, what does the sticker that is in the battery compartment say? If it is a development model, it will say "dev" or "proto"...

Hi !
I am trying to decide if i should buy the P990 or the HTC Tytn. I need to know, if all calender info (specially the notes in a calender entry) comes to the P990 when sync is done, and how it can be accessed.
I am using a Nokia N70 now, and it's so difficult to read calender notes on that one compared to any Pocket PC.
Hope that someone can help.
