I might invoke howls of protest from Invercargil, they like to claim the southernmost city title.

I have added your new thread to the first post twice.

Disappointing that we can no longer have coloured text on Esato. Personally I think it makes the first post look a little weird.

I'll give it an overhaul at some stage fairly soon.

carkitter - or not including palmy! No honestly dont change it, noone will be visiting there anyway!

Very detailed post you made there. Dont think many will be asking questions!

I might sound abit slow but i only realised the extreme cost of cancelling your contract on telecom! My flatmate said its $185 for her to break it! (shes on telecom, 12 month plan). I checked the cost to cancel mine on vodafone (similar plan and also 12 month) and its $65!

Is it not dependent on how close to the end of your contract you are too? I remember it was when I ended my contract a few years ago.

Yup it still is. Sorry forgot to mention that my flatmates contract was on the lowest cancellation fee (shes a good 6 months into hers) and mine was on the highest (im only 3 months into mine). The worst is that on telecom, you have to pay $185 even if its your last month! and before your 7th month its even higher!

Reception is good. It was quite glitchy when I first put my sim card in, but I think have determined the cause to be that I am the first one to use the 2degrees tower in kumeu. lol
How you may ask? Well, I have learned that the LAC (displayed in my phone explorer in other>monitor net to the cell id) is actually the number your phone is assigned to on that tower. On vodafone that number reads 0261 (so there are about 261 phones connected) on 2degrees that number is 0001 (yes, thats right, my phone is probably the only one)

Was watching the telethon but thought I needed a bit of internets time. Will go back to watching it soon

Hmmm...
LAC on my V800 for 2 Degrees is 100 but on Vodafone it's 6D07.

LAC stands for Location Area Code.
