Yeah, it does not get better than this, Niell totally nailed it!
Nice part is being able to see the more prominent SA buildings in a movie of this scale. Lol, the part shot in documentary style was more on the light side as it seemed rather amusing to me. Specially liked it when Wickus said something on the lines of the Alien spaceship hovering above SA instead of Manhattan or New York as we have come accustomed to.
Great movie, could possibly be a sequel

@gola: I would've liked it if that spaceship hovered over Cape Town and District9 was somewhere on the Cape Flats.
I loved the first half but can easily see how many people would hate it.

Brix
Yeah it would've been cool with Table Mountain in the background, but the thing is they could shoot in that specific Sowetan area because all those shacks were already evacuated for some other reason.
O ya and one crazy thing is that they shot the whole movie in 2months.

Yeah, I'm finding it quite hard not talking about it...
Most of the people I know just don't get the hype.

Here's one of Neill's reply in an interview.

Already there's talk about a sequel based on the film's initial success at the US box-office.

"The reason I like this film is because it was made under the right creative circumstances. I think there are still films I can make in the world of District 9, which means I want to make them... Right now, I would like to make one... I will set it in Pretoria," he says.

@gola: Pretoria would be a cool setting, maybe the Prawns can blow up the Voortrekker Monument.
