O2 customer service agents obviously don't get told about such trivial matters as SEUS being blocked by the people responsible.

I told the second O2 agent the SEUS web address and told him how it worked. I had to explain to him twice that I couldn't actually attempt the upgrade while I was on the phone... hahaha.

Probably the "O2 customer service agents" are like the poor sods who work in the offices just down the road. Get paid bugger all, get narked off ppl ringing them all the time and attempt to become an expert in what they've talking about with sod-all training.

Here's speaks a bod who used to work for Dell Preferential Customer Support. And yes, we did used to get at least 5 calls a day regarding the coffee cup holder issue...

[Off topic warning]
I've got the D600 and it is great. Good speakers, lovely screen and decent video recording. Bluetooth browsing works well, and you can easily send multiple files or an entire folder.

But also;

- Terrible battery life
- Useless Openwave browser (No NetFront like the SGH-Z130, although it runs Opera Mini perfectly)
- Hard to use navigation button (and if you press OK/i thinking it gets you to the menu, it opens the browser!)
- The camera is okay, but nothing amazing. Fine for video, but the pictures are frequently fuzzy, or the colour balance is wrong.

That said, these issues don't mean it's a waste of time. Far from it; it is a good phone and people are going to love it. But, in my opinion, my W800i is the better all rounder.

Nice to see that the consumer will have a decent choice of phones to buy this Christmas. Sony Ericsson needn't worry though, I think they'll be hoping the competition can take away some of the demand for their handsets! I doubt they'll be able to keep up!!

Hi

I have a K750I on Orange in the U.K. & I am running the R1N035 firmware.

I too started suffering the file transfer lose after this upgrade but have since fixed the problem.

Formatting the memory stick via Windows using the USB cable & then uploading my files again has fixed the problem & sorted out the media player not playing files issue too.

I still have the strange blue bars flashing across the screen when im transferring files between the pc & phone via the USB cable problem though.

Can anyone confirm this works? I wont have the chance to try until i finish work and I'd just like to know if I would be wasting my time or not! Seeing as SEUS is back up again dishing out R1N does that mean its a fixed version? I mean they wouldnt just put it back up if it was upgrading duff firmware would they?

So many questions.... at least SE gives me something to do whilst im at work, especially now as i cant watch films on my phone because they are all corrupt!!! >:(

No offence, but... is that what you do at your job?

Regarding your question, I would also like to know this... I'm still on R1L and don't know if I should upgrade or not.

I mainly do data entry so i need something to keep me entertained as it can get fairly dull! So i surf the net... listen to music and watch vids on my phone (when it works).

Come on mr ericsson, pull ur socks up!

Scaleo if i was you I wouldnt update just yet! I lost half of my photos and videos over the weekend and am not impressed! If you do update make a backup of ur stuff first just incase

I've just been on to O2 twice regarding the sudden blocking of SEUS. Both operators had never heard of SEUS. Both put me on hold to consult their team leaders... and both told me to contact SE as it was nothing to do with O2!

Hahah, nice to see O2 are still up to their old trick of passing the buck wherever possible...

Hmm - I work for O2 and I know about SUES - but I also know that if we told customers to go there to update their phones and they balls it up, it would be our fault and our responsibility to fix it... so we are not allowed to tell them to go there.

Still waiting for O2 to get back to me regarding R1N035 and SEUS. What a suprise, eh?

Also - I've contacted SE over the K750i HBH-610 issue. They say update the phone's firmware. O2 say the updated firmware isn't supported on their network. SE UK are meant to be contacting O2 UK this afternoon to see what can be done about this. They should get back to me - hopefully!

o2 like to test out the firmware on their network to make sure it is all working. Remember the R1L002 fiasco? People here rushed out and upgraded their devices to find gprs/mms fell over. O2 tested it and it is a fault with that firmware on their network.
