I totaly agre with Tigersnacke, This Icons looks crapy. Like if they were made for a computergame fore children. I never liked P990 icons, and this looks a bit similar to p990, just a bit uglier.

Let's hope P5 icons will be bether. If the p5 got the specifications mentiond here, it's going to be one of the best phones ever. Nokia may come up with somthing more high tech. But they got ugly design and no touchscreens.

Icons are icons, I'm sure you would be able to change them later on. Whether you like them or not is personal preference but you have to admit that they look clean and detailed which suggests that the screen will be good and the UIQ offers more graphics.

@thread starter

Why not post the real code name of this phone? It's Paris.

What do you want to know about it?

I hope Paris the phone isn't as big a disappointment as Paris the socialite.

This is a sort of off topic question, but I was just wondering: If MP3 players can have hard disks, why cant mobile phones? It would be great if the P5i had 60 odd Gb of memory. When you think of this being common in other devices, it isnt really so much to ask for, but it would make a colossal difference to useability. Then you WOULD be able to have all of your music on your phone, some movies, etc.

There are quite a few handsets with HDDs, but it's a problem because it has loose parts and because they tend to take up much space compared to a flash disk. Flash disks are the future of mobile memory - not hard disks.

Noone has CONFIRMED that it will use UIQ4 yet. What i want to know is, will it look like that in Sealover's photoshops (ie the one that was briefly showcased at a press event but has since not been heard of)?

How many times do I have to say it's got UIQ 4.x before you think of it as confirmed? It's completely different from UIQ 3 - or UIQ 3.2 in Beibei for that matter. This one has different home screens. OK, enough said for now.

I agree, also- no moving parts- so its smaller, wont stop working if you drop it, etc. But then, why arent the flash drives as high capacity as they could be?
For example, The K850i M2 slot can take an 8Gb card, but noone has manufactured one of that capacity yet, the max currently available AFAIK is 4Gb. This, to me implies that Sony will release an 8Gb version sooner or later. Still, surely greater capacities can be made- Id guess that a 32Gb version could come out within a years time.

Fine I will rephrase my question: Where do you stand relative to SE as a company:
Do you have a friend/relative in the company
Do you work there yourself?
Are you a very well informed journalist, for example?

This should be answer enough regarding flash medias in general...

K850 can take M2 / microSD cards up to 32 GB, which is also the theoretical maximum capacity.

If I worked at do you think I would tell anyone stuff like this here in public? Doubtfully... Regarding the insiders, yes, but not going to mention any names whatsoever. And yes to the last one as well.
