@AYA I TOLD you so! They have finished their work.
Glo GPRS went off less than 4 hours after that, and it hasn't come back till now!

@All M-TEL GPRS costs 65 kobo /kb. Can U believe that? And they have the balls to say they have "the cheapest GPRS" tariffs. What's the difference with 70 kobo? There goes all that waiting!!! And they did not offer us a free trial period! Utter nonsense! >:-(

Sorry o, all those waiting for Mtel GPRS

Has anyone actually tried using Mtel GPRS, it may provide better satisfaction than glo. Afterall the sim is free. I wouldn't acquire one myself because I loathe that network just as much as I do MTN.

@amby: Mtel SIM free? Or is it one of those "Pay N2000, get N2000 airtime" gimmicks?

Just wanted to say "hi!" to Esato people. Do I hear good news about MTEL Network's support for GPRS? I'll be happy to test it, if you can give more information.

Any opinions on Vodacom entering the Nigerian market? A deal might be brokered soon for SA's largest network to buy V-Mobile thus gaining a foothold in in Africa's most lucrative communications market. This message was posted from a K700i

@Aya, yes! @Brix is this authentic info? I didn't think vodacom would be interested in Vmobile after the scandal that followed the botched deal last year.

Glo GPRS resurrected again at my end this evening. Is it the fear of Mtel GPRS being the beginning of wisdom, or what?

The deal to buy V-Mobile is a near certainty...if it does happen expect good GPRS coverage and the launch of Vodafone Live and their branded handsets. This message was posted from a K700i

@brix25: Would you be so kind, dear Sir, as to leave out the "branded handset" part?

Vodacom in Naija would be a good thing, as competition will be keener. At least between MTN, Glo & Voda. Mtel? Your guess is as good as mine.

Now, I am really enjoying the full capabilities of my 9500. GPRS went off while I still had the P800, so you can understand what I mean.

@AYA: Vodacom has slowly launched branded handsets which will mostly affect the Pay as you Go segment with cheaper branded handsets. Expect an improvement in services don't know whether they'll be offering the same ones available to SA subs. This message was posted from a K700i
