It sure is looking good carkitter, especially with the C903 back (even though i don't like it). It's just good to see a good, almost full range... And surprisingly the W910i is still there (and still over-priced)!

Perhaps this could be useful - Cellphone tower locations just import them to google earth and have a look

Heh. Just realised I used the word "good" way to much in my previous post.

Wow!
Were did you find that? AFAIK that's top secret info that Vodafone refuses to give out.
Simply stunning to be quite honest.

Might have to have a look when I get home. I'm not able to while at work!

Those locations confirmed what I already thought. I'm 300m from a Voda and 2D site, 600m from another Voda and XT site and 1.3kms from a third Voda site. There's a lot more XT 2100MHz sites than I thought, especially on the Shore.

Apparently they are from MED's database (whatever that is) and I found them on geekzone. The guy that posted them (full credits to him) I think has downloaded the locaitons of each cell tower and put them into a kml file. He does say that not all towers are on there because some don't give co-ordinates

MED will be the Ministry of Economic Development. They are the government department who got dragged into the Vodafone v Telecom court dispute over interference from the XT network.

Today I was surprised to see a HUGE at least 20 metre tall billboard in Christchurch (on the side of the Copthorne Hotel on Durham St for an CHCHers) advertising the SE X1. Could this be the beginning of some proper SE advertising in NZ?

I think I was mostly surprised that they were advertising the X1 though, seeing as it's due for replacement soon in overseas markets and probably isn't the type of phone that's going to sell well in New Zealand in my opinion.
