i dont know if you guys are aware of this. This was mentioned to me by my brother.
for GLOBE Subscribers, if you want to setup your phone for GPRS access, just type
GO phonemodel then send to 2951.
e.g. GO t39 send to 2951
Globe will then send you something that will automatically configure your phone.
He did this to setup his T39 and R520 for GPRS. I think it is also applicable for Nokia GPRS capable phones.
I tried it this and Globe sent me something that asked if i want to Install. I deleted it coz i have the phone setup already. My experience though is i sent the request on Sunday and only received the message this morning.
Hope abv helps

@yiz19 re:DNS error
hmm ... can yo be specific about the message?
@dan47
pansin ko nga eh, tagal response ("slowpoke!") hehehe
@hornet26
seems like globe is really getting ready for paid GPRS access. set-up is just a text away (yun nga lang bukas pa ang sagot

)
seems like free GPRS won't last that long anymore. :-|

@hornet, @gowin
I used Globe's SMS service to set up my GPRS about two weeks ago. Got the response in less than two minutes. But when I tried to configure another phone recently, it took about 3 hours before I got the response. In any case, the SMS service works! Would anybody know when Globe will start charging for GPRS?
