BUG!!!!
Somethign really wierd! - as was said above - magic words activated = no radio - i tested - its true - i now have deactivated the magic word thing and tried radio again - now here somethign really wierd happens.... i go 2 99.3 fm (aka radio 1 in norwich) and the RDS sat nto Radio 1 but Norwich - ??!

Right, and the funny thing is that the w800 and w810i have the same specs listed in there respective white papers on Sony's site.

The other news is that the latest firmware upgrade to the w800 will break
the compatiblity between HFL and the phone from what I've read.

If you look on handsfreelink.com the w600 is also listed as compatable but
after firmware upgrades this phone no longer seems to work.

SE is really screwing things up with these upgrades and are not meeting the specifications they advertise... (That could be construed as false advertising if they don't do anything about it).

^ what do you mean? this thread has been sitting duck for a long time because there's no widely available update since R4CK003. R4CM001 is reportedly out, but from this page (which i barely understand, as I am not german) it appears that it's a vodaphone-branded update. looks like we're going to have to wait some more

There's still no update available for my generic UK W810i (CDA 102494/4), which has R4CE012. However, I'm only pointing it out FYI, as I haven't had a single problem with the handset so far.

I second that one.. been tryin to get an update as well coz someone pointed out that the latest one was R4CM001. but haven't had any problem with the phone itself so far.. great phone.. everyone should have a w810i..lol

i think this one is for europe only... just try mine on APAC and it say i have the lates.... i'm on R4CK003.
