I fixed the loop problem....Hooray...I deleted all the temp files and cookies on the comp....Uninstalled and reinstalled the update software and then tried updating the FW...IT WORKED....The phone is now updated.

which is the latest?
The link above is not very accurate and not very well maintained unlike it is for P990i !!!
