After upgarding to the new firmware I can't help but having the idea that the battery is draining way faster than before. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

I too thought the battery was draining faster.... was never great to begin with but seemed even worse. Consider though, everytime there is a f/w upgrade or even adding a new pgrogramme, we use phone more and that big screen uses up some serious battery being on alot.

In addition to turning off the 3G network (Mine is off and it can still suck battery juice) try lowering the brightness on your screen. Mine is now down to 35% and thats really fine. I dont think you need more. Less...well...35 is really the lowest I think.

Query here.... some people suggest turning of the WLAN.... even though its is enabled, does THAT draw power? I thought it draws only negligible if any until its is forced into use e.g. when scanning or cycling through available internet access points etc. Any comments anyone?

I charge my phone every night....by 8 pm its down to say...40%. Not bad but wont take me through an additional day. its now 5.30 p.m. and juice is about 56%.

@txmrolf, I don't have that problem with LCG Jukebox.
Turned on BT, connected stereo headphones, started LCG Jukebox and immediately it started playing on the headphones.

@satcha

I have my brightness at 100% simply so I can see the screen in daylight - and even then it can be difficult. How do you manage with 35%???!

I can still easily get through a day of 'normal' usage with 40% charge left - and I leave BT, Wifi and 3G on all the time...

Here's the problem I have ALWAYS with every fw. I flash the phone, do a master reset and then restore. The phone works fine (and very fast after the last fw) and stable for about 3 o 4 days but then happens, the phone makes it's first 'auto restart' and then every day after that, the phone just 'dies staying alive' (sorry if my english is not correct), what is that? it freezes, can't do anything, make/receive calls, send/receive sms, connect to Internet, even charge. So I have to press 'power' for about 10 secs. to turn it off, then I remove the battery for a few seconds (I don't know if helps) and then turn it on, and then wait for it to fail again. Any ideas? Thanks

@ Makbil
I did not mean the BT, I used the SE handsfree (the wired one).
a) first connect the handsfree
b) Open the LCG and start rendering any file...you will hear "crickets"
c) disconnect the handsfree and wait until the sound is transfered to the speaker.
d) reconnect the handsfree, and the sound should be transfered to the handsfree now.

Guys, on this firmware does Opera have the menu numbers when opened during FC? Man, I like that feature.

OK, I see what you mean. I confirm this behavior as well.
Well, I have taken this issue directly to Lonelycat as I am a registered user. I guess an update to LCG Jukebox is in order.

For 24 hours now almost great.
No problems, only mentioned email bug.
All the apps working properly. And install opera mini - marvellous application!

Wow! Have you even powered on the phone?!

Nah, just joking m8, but I have found this fw to be even more bad than the earlier, more bugs that annoys me, my list is so long that I don't even want to write it down, it makes me depressed...
