is it ok to update your P990i's firmware thru SEUS? or should I go to SE Centers let them do the update?
it's OK to update via SEUS, it's there to do the job - at home. however, you may not get the latest firmware (R6E28) if your phone's CDA is not listed to get this firmware.

Just to avoid a misunderstanding:
In this case u won't get it at the service center either..

You can not take crisp movies, only blurry, out of focus, movies no matter how far or near the subject is. Also it seamed to me that with r6d I was able to focus a little bit faster than with latest r6e, but as long as I don't take picture of the same subject, having the same light, etc. may be a subjective point of view.
I wish that SE could give us the chance of choosing the right firmware for us.
BTW you can take nice movies using older or newer phones, like k750, w800, k800, but not with bulky p990 which has camera instead of the slim m600. I miss the trick I used in r5

Very funny, he meant great.
What's the point? I guess there are many people who speaks and write English, and other languages like Italian, French or German, but I don't know how many English speakers knows other languages.
You can search using google, I'll give some example
http://www.omniglot.com/language/why.htm
Quote:
Many English-speaking business people don't bother to learn other languages because they believe that most of the people they do business with in foreign countries can speak English, and if they don't speak English, interpreters can be used. The lack of foreign language knowledge puts the English speakers at a disadvantage. In meetings for example, the people on the other side can discuss things amongst themselves in their own language without the English speakers understanding, and using interpreters slows everything down. In any socialising after the meetings, the locals will probably feel more comfortable using their own language rather than English.
I don't say this site is an official answer to this problem but a point of view, and I don't want to start a war, as long as I don't speak English so good.
This is a worldwide forum so you must accept our mistakes, we'll try to be better

got this from SE today in reply to email about my continuing problems wit the 990 : "..... sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the performance of your P990i handset. We would like to inform you that an extra software release for the P990i handset will be available. This release will be published within the next two weeks. This is in response to recent feedback from users and as a result of additional internal testing. " So it appears there's at least one more upgrade on the way.
