It won't even have a simcard slot! NTT/AU phones don't use sims, in fact, only Softbank phones do, and SE don't seem to be interested in making phones for Softbank, even though every other manufacturer does(last phone was V802SE, when Sb were still Vodafone KK)......

That's the problem, Japanese phones can only be used by Japanese! In europe they have to use roaming agreements, just like we do if we leave UK......
If you do find somewhere to get Japanese phones without contract, I'd very much like
SO902i and
SO903i(preferred)......
