@tessst

1. i dont use swiss or gdesk but i assume this is the same problem i have with handysafe? if you press back to go back through the menus it will go handysafe>folder where handysafe is>main menu>back to handysafe! if this is the same bug then it is still there.

2. are you using transitions? control panel>device>transitions>on/off
If so this may be why you notice a difference? As using the media player automatically turns them off.

1) I dont know what u're talking about but I am sure the bug is still there because no one mentioned it
2) no transitions (i hate them) - was a little faster for me though, when you run it in the background (browsing through menus etc.) I dunno

Hmmm....Sounds suspiciously like a return of the ol'990 'video trick' where having a video paused in background made the video accelerator run continuously and so sped up the menues. Mabe I'll try resurecting 'Tweak Peaks'......

EDIT: Just tried it, had to download a new version from CPS (certificate had expired), and I do think it's made things snappier. It's barely perceptible though as this latest firmware was already faster than previous versions - can anyone else confirm this? Is it just my eyes playing tricks?

You can download the free trial here:

http://cellphonesoft.com/1down.htm

Once installed you find it under 'control panel' btw, and you have to turn display acceleration on with the drop-down, then save.

also, check the speed dial bug: before, when I used to call an entry in my speed dial, the photo would appear (if I had one attached), and also the name of that person... now, only the photo shows up, so for the ones with no photo attached, you don't know who you're callin'!

Nice job on this, SE...

No problem with the speed dial here, did you check if there are names asigned to the corresponding speed dial numbers (phone - speed contacts)?

My P1 is Sweden/Norway.
I just up-dated the FW to K - so it's available not only to GW1.
cheers

Hi guys,
I've updated my P1 to the latest firmware after changing the CDA to World generic. The phone is now a bit snappier and all but I'm having a few troubles during phone calls. I sometimes hear 'others' on during my phone, like some alien voices chatting together or the sound is really crap and I ccan't make what the person is saying. Never had a problem before. I'm on o2 uk by the way.
Anyone having the same problem?

I'm also on O2 UK, never had any problem at all with strange voices in my head - sorry on my phone

Sounds like it's your handset - maybe send it to a service centre if it persists...
