Picked up my Xperia Mini (white) last night from CPW.
left it charging overnight & will give it a run for the next couple of days & see if I like it enough to keep or not.
If not i'll put it up for sale next week & go back to my normal phone.
First impressions so far are good , screen is nice & sharp / sound is pretty loud / the UI is nice & snappy with no lag at all.
Plus side it play 720p mp4's with no problems (although I did have a high bitrate one that stuttered a little)
overall though in the couple of hours i've been playing with it i'm pretty impressed.

Price's in India
Xperia Mini - 15,000rs [€236 , $340]
Xperia Mini Pro - 15,700rs [€248, $356]
Both
Prices seems to be reasonable
I'm sorry, but if the above is true, the Mini is horribly priced.
1. No front camera
2. No QWERTY keyboard
and yet only ~Rs. 700 cheaper. Pricing FAIL!
12k would have been the sweet spot for the Mini.
Btw, just checked, also available @ Letsbuy: 14.2k after discount coupon

Horribly priced? Its great value for what this tiny baby has inside. In UK its £149 thats cheap. Will not be long before price drops. I get my white one tomorrow too.

I'm talking about its price when compared to the price of the MiniPro in
India. Currently, the difference is negligible.
The MiniPro IMO is a good deal at this price point, especially with its specifications.

Only difference in specs is the front camera which i do not need. I like qwerty keyboards but they always loosen over time with slides

Diffused, the big diff is actually the weight. Even with the older X10 Mini and Mini Pro, the difference in price was almost nothing. But for those that don't want the additional weight and bulk, the Mini is a better choice.
Plus, for whatever reason...
considers PINK a "pro" color, and Red, a casual color... go figure.

Maybe so, but this is not true of everyone. Some see it as essential.
Anyways, I was just commenting about the price. Priced so close together, one will cut into the sales of the other. But that's just me.
Enjoy your new phone. I am considering upgrading to the new MiniPro in a couple of months.

Well i've had a good play with it for most of the day & overall it's a lovely phone but for day to day use I think it's not going to suit my needs so am gonna need to sell it on to recoup the ££ (CPW don't refund for change of mind
)
looks like i'll post an ad up in the for sale section.
for anyone interested just keep an eye on the for sale section shortly.

What is everything else like?? Build quality, camera etc?? It's more than enough for my daily needs. The pricing not being much different will more than likely not cut the sales of one or the other. Cos it's frankly down to taste weather you want keyboard or not
