I think some sort of metallic construction perhaps with glass in a silvery,shiny color. That all depends though on whether Apple would find a reason to sue them. But they certainly need a new design. Some sort of curves to it might help as well. I can't help but like the feeling of the HTC Sensation.
Increasing the resolution to 960x540 is a must.
Another thing, make it a bit slimmer if possible, add a better ergonomic feeling to it.
Plus a new or enhanced form of TouchWiz.
