Don't get me wrong, I'm really tempted to buy the latest gadgets as much as possible especially the latest palm and/or ipaq models with their more advanced features and bigger memories. Its just a good thing that I'm quite enamored to buying accessories and ammo for my HK and Glock right now, that adding the expense of constantly updating my PDA's or phones would really put a dent on my play money to the consternation of the wifey.

Our gun club as well as nearby gun clubs in other towns have been holding frequent club shoots to make up for the coming 6 months of boredom when the gun ban takes effect that I have been upgrading my equipment as a result.
Do you know that magazines for the USP45 now costs 4,500 each(bought 3)same price as an STI or Para mag, its a good thing that glock magazines are still 2,500 each(bought 2). I recently received my blade-tech holster for my USP which I ordered online and I would strongly recommend it to you as its really a well made holster and I'm thinking of ordering another one for my Glock 30(which I currently use with a Fobus holster which I also bought online a few months back).
That Nokia 6600 really rocks, don't know if I can resist that one. Seems like its engineered like a Sony Ericsson and can match it feature for feature

yes the 6600 is a good contender. but as long as sony-ericssons are around ....i still prefer the P800 (or the new P900) over that one. and perhaps you may wish to look at the British made Sendo....the SENDO-X... yet another toy which leaves nokias panting in the dust....

doc, i may only have budget for concealed carry holsters, like uncle-mikes. the other brands are really expensive. i got myself the molded type holster for the glock (from final option), but since i installed those adjustable sights the gun won't fit anymore, even with the loosest adjustment. and i envy you... you're lucky you're in an area where our toys will continue to be played with, even in this coming "boring season". have fun, doc!

That Sendo does seem to be feature packed and may give the 6600 a run for its money. Can't say the say about its name though, it sounds lame " I have a Sendo ", sounds funny doesn't it
The P900 though is another story, I think that would be the phone to watch out for. Better screen, Bigger RAM ,T9 and online firmware upgrade are significant improvements over an already great phone. Will seriously consider getting one if it comes out during the coming boring period although its bigger heft will need some getting used to.

you're right, doc. i was using a T68i too, and when i switched to P800 my pockets really got full. it's like inside-holstering a H&K USP-Expert! anyway, as i have been enjoying the P800 for now, i'm sure hindi ako mapapahiya when i recommend to you the P900, because it is the improvement of the P800. well at least you wont need a T68 and a Palm at the same time, just to surf.
holiday season coming in fast, doc! christmas music in the malls, shopping... wala lang, masaya lang. feel like greeting you all 'merry christmas' already.

Thanks for the early greeting, same to you. BTW, there are reports that the gun ban will be postponed to February, a Merry Christmas indeed if this is true

now, to some phone talk.... looks like the phone war this christmas will be a furious one. SE has been hard-selling now and pushing the Z-series. plus, a toy for christmas.... the tiny BT-driven car! i dont know if SE will work fast, in time to put out P900 by end of this year. while in the next camp... nokia is now out with their 6600, eNgage, and some other minor stuff for your small pockets and budgets. and check out the other weird shapes by nokia, coming out soon. frankly, doc, i haven't found anything that really pushed me hard enough to purchase one, since our T68/T68i. yeah i got this P800, but the next one.... P900, oh well. like what you said about tungsten-T3, we smell T4 not far behind. same with P900... P1000 starts to smell around the corner too.
maybe i'd just rather get a P-99 walther instead. it doesn't go out of style in many, many years.

Just renewed my PTT for the HK and was given until Feb. 5. My contact also confirmed that the gun ban will start on February. Although until a definitive announcement in the media is made, I tend to take this with a grain of salt. At least I have the papers to back it up(i.e. the PTT), when I'm checked.
Let me know you're impressions on the P99 when you do decide to get one. I'm setting my sights(and bankbook) on either an STI or SVI in .40 S&W, which I'm thinking of getting after the ban. I'm having second thoughts though on the price(about 150K) and the cost /benefit ratio. What if it isn't that much better than my trusty HK? Think of the amount of money wasted. Although the one I tried did feel good in my hand, but I heard that it does need a little tuning to get it up to par, unlike our HK's which have performed reasonably well from the get-go.. Decisions, decisions
