you can have it upgraded @ semicon/sess/smartnet (check their respective threads at the asia pacific corner. the 3
service ctr charge different fees from one another.

I live in the u.s. and I'm having problems upgrading the firmare on my t68i. The people at att says they have no idea what I'm talking about. I ask them if i was able to use the phone with another service provider if i cancelled and was told no because the phone was locked. Does anyone here know if another service provider (like tmobile) will be able to unlock my att phone so I can use their service instead?

as i said, please check their respective threads in the asia pacific section. their addresses are indicated on the 1st page of each threads.
Semicon stores are all over metro manila. mostly on SM. Smartnet is located @ buendia/paseo de roxas. Sess is located @ herrera st. in makati.

guamboy, ATT should unlock your phone after you complete your service agreement with them. If they don't, I think there are some people who will unlock it for a small fee while upgrading the firmware to the latest version. You may have to search around for that info.
