Remember UK operators paid astronomical sums of £££ to buy 3G liscences. Irish networks played the poor cousin promising that if they paid less then their networks would be implimented faster, cheaper.... it aint happening.
Before my i went across the border to college this september my father had very frank convsersation with me. he said "Son, there is nothing free in the free state."
How true!

did no one get the sunday business post. It had a three page review of the 3g service. It said connection was crap. Their offices in dublin 2 could not get full reception which was needed to make a video call. Thats in the city centre where recption should be great. They also quoted the costs of getting a year long contract. Before you make any calls at all you have to spend E850.00. This is to buy the cheapest phone and pay the 12 monthly line rental. They compared this too england which is only E200.00 for the same deal.

as i thought ...i mean we live in a country where you cant get Chorus if your house has too many trees in the garden ...no broadband if your garden is more than a few feet from the road (let alone live in the country) ...unless you want satelite broadband at only E30 per month; terms & conditions apply = ...E800 down payment !!!!................. ...so why expect 3G ?????
i guess we'll have to wait ...at least we have decent Guinness !! at E4.50 a pint ...and the English get it for £2.50 ...or £1.59 in Wetherspoons !!!!
...must be the health service i live here for ...or the cheap housing costs ..or those miniscule bank charges ...and the reasonable road tax which pays for our high standard of motorway(s?) ...and the fact that everyone are such careful drivers and have all passed their tests first time that make our car insurance so cheap ...Oh and lets not forget the high standard of service we get in our restaraunts & hotels without paying the earth !!
...well at least our politicians don't screw us by driving fancy cars and use 4 Gards a day to protect them ...and so refreshing to see the Taoiseach using public transport rather than having his own jet !!!!!! .....OH MY GOD NO !!!! i'm awake and i still live in Ireland ...great criac tho !!!!

Banana Republic
Septic Isle
Screaming in the suffering sea
It sounds like crying
Everywhere I go
Everywhere I see
The black and blue uniforms
Police and priests
And I wonder do you wonder
While you're sleeping with your whore
That sharing beds with history
Is like a-licking running sores
Forty shades of green yeah
Sixty shades of red
Heroes going cheap these days
Price; a bullet in the head
Take your hand and lead you
Up a garden path
Let me stand aside here
And watch you pass
Striking up a soldier's song
I know that tune
It begs too many questions
And answers to,
The purple and the pinstripe
Mutely shake their heads
A silense shrieking volumes
A violence worse than the condemn
Stab you in the back yeah
Laughing in your face
Glad to see the place again
It's a pitty nothing's changed
It's a pitty nothing's changed
It's a pitty nothing's changed
It's a pitty nothing's changed
It's a pitty nothing's changed

I think typically the price of bluetooth headsets are all around 60-100 euro. A better place to get them is the expansys website -
www.expansys.ie! They're fairly cheap there!
