My phone bought on o2 contract is not locked to o2 - I've got my Vodafone 3g SIM card in it and it works fine.
There is no physical o2 branding of the phone, but a small amount of software branding (an o2 icon on the menu, o2 screensaver/startup etc). The screensaver and startup screen can be changed.

So let me get this straight... You actually cancelled your existing contract to get the phone, or did they order it for you for an upgrade?
No, still on existing contract. When i even mentioned i would stay with O2 (dont know why i said that?!) but would cancel this contract and take one out a new one JUST to get the K750i she started putting me on hold and said she's ordered it.
I suppose its admin costs involved to cancel etc, (im out of contract).
So yeah on upgrade.

Are you sure they're shipping tommorw mate? As it says arrives on thrusday and will be shipped on fri?
I am in the same possession as you soo any help is apreciated mate!
I saw on their website that it said arriving thursday but when I phoned them the salesperson said the K750 would be arriving tomorrow (Wednesday) and will hopefully be shipping out to pre orders the same day for the arrival on Thursday which is release day for the K750.
If it doesn't arrive until Friday it doesn't bother me as I'll be at work on a early shift when it arrives and will have the afternoon to play with it

woohoo! just upgraded to the k750i with o2 online... I phoned up retention and a lady called donna upgraded me straight away - so they must be doing that now...
phone o2 Retention and ask for donna at extention 70247 today!!
