hi,
is it possible to get new firmware from the se update center when i've debranded my mobile and changed the cad?
some peolpe says that would work other says no beacause se checks the imei against the cad. i'm confused!

By the way, I think that only changing the CDA won't work when updating through SEUS, I read in another post that it also checks the phone's IMEI, take a look at this:

Thanks for the info my friend. Have you tried running SEUS to check whether it downloads LAM_2 or whichever firmware you previously had?

I presume there will be lots of upset people if the IMEI-CDA combination is indeed a determinant of which firmware SEUS downloads. Assuming this is true, there is absolutely no point (to my knowledge) in modifying the CDA with Davinci!

I must say this is quite upsetting...

After flashed my phone with R1J firmware, LAM_2 customization and changed the phone's CDA to CDA102337/105 R1A LAM_2 and trying to use SEUS update service I get the following message:

Your device is not permitted to use this service

Your operator does not approve the usage of this service for this device.
We look forward to assist you again soon.
Thank you for using Sony Ericsson Update Service!

Anyone knows the reason of this message, it is because no newer firmware (R1L not yet released for this customization) is available for LAM_2 customization???

davinci always tell me the i have to flash when i want to change the cda.

You can indeed change the CDA without reflashing, but it will cost you a credit.

Is it possible to downgrade from FW R1L to R1A with Da Vinci for the sake of better Video Quality and will the W800 FW be available for changing from K750i to W800 and if you do can you go back to K750i FW?

There is no poin changing back from R1L to R1J as the video quality is exactly the same (Rev 4.4) If you wanted to get the video quality back you'd need to flash back to R1A (Rev 3.8 ).

Sorry I meant to R1A of course cause the videos now get guite useless as with R1J. But is it possible with Da Vinci?
