sounds like you may have acquired a proto version of the P990
Definitely a prototype - the giveaway is the QuickShare label under the flip on the front - QuickShare was dropped and AFAIK the production versions will say P990i there instead, just like the M600i does.

Hi all
just had a call from SE as they will be shipping M600i's early next week sim free @ £329.99 and they say will be shipping P990i's in August.
Marc
Presumably this was from the SE UK store rather than SE themselves?

I am getting just as frustrated as the next guy regarding launch of P990i and trying to console myself with the fact that at least the product I am buying is from a company with great after-sales service and hopefully most of the bugs will be sorted.
Where does this zen type attitude come from?
I have until very recently been using my P800 (yeah, I know, but it did the job for almost 5 years), anyway, I bought the HCB-700 on recommendation from SE site that itwould be compatible with trusty P800, but alas, even after software upgrade, nutting!
SE finally gave me a P910i because of this error on their site !!
The P910i is not fully supported by the HCB-700 (which in itself is baffling enough from a development perspective) but does a good job on calls, etc.
However, me, I cannot resist the temptation of features promised in P990i, so the wife will be the prowd owner of an almost new P910i, soon, PLEASE !!

. Lets hope it is around that for the phone house too. They predict around 6500 (they say they don't know, they might even already have it in stock).

I really hope they call me on monday. If not, then by the end of next week, so between 5 and 10 days for me if the release date is correct.
EDIT: Ares, where are you going to get yours?
