The main improvement I have found is the stable connection to the bluetooth car kit. The phone used to sometimes freeze and/or reboot when doing a voice dial.
It also automatically switches to the 'In car' profile when it connects (meaning that both the car kit and the phone no longer both ring at the same time as the phone can be muted in that profile).

hi peoples, i have updated to R1J and also completed the EROM update with WOTAN Server, all very easy in the end. however my major complain is still how the phone hangs and reboots its self if you use the phone book function with the SE HCB-700 car kit. this is so annoying!!!!
SE australia are being very ignorant of the problem too!
Why cant things just work. my friends K750 works fine with his hcb-700 car kit.
