Not necessarily. Idou isn't for everyone. I know there are a lot of people here that won't buy a phone that doesn't have a hardware keyboard. So if SE brings out a phone with 12Mp and a hardware keyboard, then the two phones can live along side each other in SE's portfolio.

According to the SE rep in this video from Phonedog.com about Idou, there will be more Entertainment Unlimited announcements in the spring with 2 new devices. One focusing on gaming and the other on messaging.

I quite like it, just preferably not in purple. I wouldn't buy it cause the portrait screen seems a bit of a weird design decision, but overall I really like the design style.
