I don't know. But I don't think it matters at that scale, also every pixel is next to another. Since what you see is essentially a 2d image I think it's safe to consider pixels squares. Why do you think it matters?

Sony introduced 4K a good few years ago but it was other aspects that drowned out all the hype. The XZ Premium was near perfect, it's only criticism was probably the bezels and I know loads of owners who are still loving theirs with no thought of even getting the XZ2 Premium. It is what it is.
Xperia 1 should get a very quick price drop and also, the sales forecast is very modest so that low sales won't mean massive loss. A lot of anger because of the late release again, heads to roll again it seems.
Google Pixel doesn't sell to many and they don't care, its an advert for their software.
