I looked also at GSM Arena comparison tools and it shows exactly what I'm talking about.
Compared to Samsung Galaxy S II for instance shows some agressive sharpening but also
shows more detail and colour. Some parts are better, some are worse.
But photos as a whole look great.

It proves it's target. These are just good shooters not full profi cameras.
Profi cameras make RAW files, there's no point in comparing them.

severely overprocessed shots 1.X MB in size made to:
1. look good on Arc's LCD
2. look good on computer screen with no zoom
3. be as light in MB as possible.

1. Good idea!
2. great! that's exactly how i use pics from my phone.
3. Also good. Means I can email shots direct from my phone without wasting too much data.

Of course, if this was a DSLR an I was a professional photographer, I might not be so happy about it.

Yes, but I used to buy SE phones for a reasen. They used to be much better, and now are behind Sammy and Nokia in camera dept:( The qestion is why are you willing to pay for 8mp so called exmor r shots, when SE could do the same with 5mp sensor from a different manufacturer or different driver? Writing about Nokia I only mean n8, cause other 8mp phones from them...average 3mp AF would be better:)

Im having my first major frustration with the Arc and that is, that although it is connected to my Wlan it doesnt work!
Has anybody any idea on how to resolve this?
The IPhone and other devices work perfectly on the same signal!

remove the network ( if saved ) and remove it's saved passkey ( if it has one )... then connect again... this is a known problem that happens not only to phones.. I had the same issue with my laptop once and my phone also.. I think it might be related to the router...

Some times the router insist on giving a specific device a bad IP ( starts with 169 for example ) which means the device is not in the network... reconnecting does not resolve the problem but resetting the settings on the device ( by deleting the settings ) will in most cases I see resolve the problem...

Now I'm asking u, when u in a restaurant do the waitress give u the whole menu instead of your specific kind of order when u don't say the word "ONLY"???
It's okay talking about other phones just for comparison, but speaking nonsense and repeat it again again and again is kind of annoying............

Late reply. YES when I goto a restaurant and don't say the word "ONLY" when referring to whats on the menu the waitress/waiter does give me whats on the menu (specials first or meal of the day) / irregardless of the menu in front of someone. THAT my friend is just good service - asking for their opinion on choice = only. What cheap ass restaurants do you goto with such poor service?!

FACT is comparison of other devices is GOOD for everyone; going on about the same thing again & again is annoying. Oddly enough nobody stated that about complaining for the poster they where annoyed at talking about HTC. Problem is nobody quoted that happening just that they hated him talking about the HTC models.
