I don't think that its pointless to have 2 flagships. A lot of people here are going crazy about the lack of bezel on Odin, and others like me are excited about the glass front and back + water/dust resistance of Yuga.
If Sony only made Yuga, the people who are now crazy about Odin would probably have gone for Droid DNA or some other phone. Giving choices at the high end is never a bad idea IMO.
Both are flagships, each for a different taste

I just got another rumor about Z and ZL. I hope that it is not true.
Z will not have LTE and ZL will. Same as with T and TL.

Both support Global LTE bands, in fact Z is the first global LTE phone. So I'd have to say that's a rubbish rumor

We need some HQ live pics although they still won't do it justice. I need to hold it in my hands, it doesn't look that much different from the XT from the front.
It's strange reading commentators on blogs saying that there will be an avalanche of 5" 1080 HD screens at CES so yuga will need to stand out - and at the same failing to pick up on the phones unique dust and waterproofing.
Do they not pay any attention to the rumoured specs?
