My brother I agree with you, those freebies are just too enticing to ignore. Please pray for me, I'm aiming for the $100,000 price.

Amby: See you. I am the real enjoymentman. That 100k is for me. I think there are three 100k prizes though so we can dash someone the last one:)

I have not been happy with the service I have been getting from glo...at least at home and in the office, Gbagada and Ikeja. Reception is patchy. Forget about GPRS. I have complained and in fairness it seems marginaly better but....

However, in other places, I don't seem to have any problem other than the near imposibility of calling into MTN. I hear they are blocking each other. I mean, WHAT IS THAT ABOUT.

I have a hunch they know what they are doing. The system resources that would have to be dedicated to GPRS if there were to be no restrictions would probably make their whole network even more unstable.

I am of the opinion that there are more sensible ways to ensure system stability than what they have put on ground.

One way would be to limit GPRS subscriptions to a specific number. If I was a Vmobile subscriber right now and needed GPRS, I would get myself a Glo line and save myself the attendant headache this present Vmobile GPRS service imposes.

Which comments, and where were they made?

@Egunjespoilagos: I also live in Gbagada, reception here fluctuates most of the time, but never below two bars. May have to do with your set. Some handsets don't do too well in low signal areas. Moreover, since I discovered V-step I hardly use my glo line for voice calls.

@amby: What's the tariff on Vstep like? On Glo Optimizer which I use, I pay flat rates of 40 kobo per second for voice calls within the network and 50kobo per second to other networks.

@brix: I didn't see those comments. They must have violated some forum rules to have been deleted. Usually, a PM is sent to explain the deletion. Were you sent any?

@ AYA: I didn't get any pm...but I ain't got any beef. On Tuesday there was a tv special on the recent visit of Benny Hinn to the country. The programme was very critical of evangelists in the country. This message was posted from a K700i

@brix: I see. Well, you adopted the right attitude of holding no beef about it.

We might as well forget about it. Wouldn't like to see this thread locked

@all: BTW, where's everybody these days: angel, tilly, deeone, ihe, mamba, brym, areafada, ota, etc, etc,
