As this thing is going to be a slider, Has anyone here used any of the HTC sliders? Do they get floppy and slack like the N95?
I have been told by a high up at Ericsson, that SE are only using the chip from HTC but I am not sure I believe that! and given SE's ability to produce shoddy cheap handsets I have some reservations as to the long term quality of the X1

Seeing as how X1 is an SE design, blame for poor build quality should not be go to HTC. HTC is just following instructions. X1 is not a typical plasticy build. So far, the build quality has been praised in reviews--especially the sliding mechanism. The battery cover needs work. Of course, no one knows the long-term reliability of the X1.

My Tytn II is still in good shape after 8 months (and a lot of drops and knocks). The slider is still quite firm, and the tilting hinges still hold the screen up just fine. HTC build quality is generally pretty good, but obviously a lot of that is down to the design and specification it's built to, which in this case is supposedly SE's.

That is what's bothering me, SE ant build cases for toffee! my P1 back creaks like fury and the back on my W960i is bowed and moves all the time. I think Iam going to wait on my next purchase a good deal longer this time. I realy am sick of spending hard earned cash on devices that simply start too feel 5 years old in as many months! If anyone from

is reading this IT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH sort it out.
