@Kryptik: Don't know about that 1GB sim card when people can't find use for a 32k sim card.
At today's Icasa hearings into handset subsidies MTN and Cell C said they were principally in favour of doing away with them.

Yep, true that, Brix. As it is now a 32k's now real advantage to most is the fact that it can hold more numbers, phone boots up a bit faster... They're touting the 1gig card as being useful for saving pix, tones, etc...

@ Kryptik,
I'm currently close to your neck of the woods,in Addo, attending the Midnight Motorcycle Rally.Strange having a motorbike rally so close to our national elephant park...
Got a consistent 4-bar signal here on the P900. A good mate loaned me his Honda ST1100 Pan-European for the weekend. Not quite my first weapon of choice, but I ain't 'looking no gift horse in the mouth.'
One of the guys here has a 7710,the 1st I've seen in SA.He said he got it for free on his MTN contract,(hell, what tariff will that be to get that phone for free?!),which might explain why I haven't seen the 7710 in Vodashops.(?)
Quite a few people carrying 6820's,D500's and e700/ e720's.Hardly any SE's visible,apart from the odd T630 or P910.Moto seems just as scarce,with a few V-series around.Oh,and one Siemens MC60...
Great to see much of the SA population weening themselves off their long-standing diet of 3310's and 3510i's over the past 2 years...go SA!

@786KBR: That blue thing on the left is a Sagem.
@amawanqa: Good to hear your tour through the country is going good. Didn't know the 7710 was available locally...much prefer the P910. Talking about 3310's and 3510i's, the other day I saw someone using an ancient Siemens...those bricks that came out around 95/96.
