Did you know the first post of this thread was on: 06-24-2006? That makes the k800i almost 6 months old, and as I stated earlier this is ancient in phone years. The k800i is old, old, old. SE does not have the resources or time to continue with upgrades to old products. Personally, I hope they don't issue anymore and they simply let the k800i move into the land of obscurity. As harsh as it may sound, those that can purchase the newer devices will and those that can't will have to live with what they have. In its day, the k800i was the phone to have but now it is just another great but outdated phone. The iPhone, if it arrives, will surely outperform the k800i (unless they do not put a camera on it, and most people do not use the camera anyway), as will the newer offerings from Nokia, Samsung and the rest.
RIP k800i

I cordially invite you to prove me incorrect. The k800i is more than 6 months old. This is an eternity in phone years. As I stated, in its day, the k800i was unbeatable, but the constant wanting of more and more f/w upgrades is a waste of SE's time. They will really have to compete once the iPhone hits the market as this will spur competitors to be more and more innovative. If SE is smart, and I am not sure that they are, they will cease with the k800i upgrades and look towards the future. The k800i had its day. It is an old phone, that was at the top of the game when it came out but now it is just an also ran.
If you call 6'3", 220 little then I guess you are correct.

How on earth do you know that the iPhone will be great at all? It's not announced and unless your a big fan of Apple I don't see how you can make bold claims that it will dent Sony Ericsson's sales and force them to get "better". The iPhone doesn't excist so stop comparing things to it!

@escobar,
Well, I will stop right away because you told me to do so. I will follow all of your directions.
Fact: If the iPhone has just half the uptake as the iPod did, does, and continues to do, it will make a market impact that SE has never achieved.
Fact: If the iPhone, like the iPod provides its users with a great interface and the ability to load and unload songs as simply as the iPod does, SE will have a big problem on its hands because the bundles software is nothing less than crap.
Fact: How many iPods out there and how many SE phones? Go do the math Einstein.
Nothing you said or probably will say will be of any consequence so please disappear back into obscurity and venture out only when you have something of value to say.
The fact remains that the k800i was a great phone, but it is now an old phone and SE will stop supporting it soon. This is inevitable. Circle of life and all that.
@Aremaboy: Sorry but that is the way it is. Either purchase the hot next thing or live with the old. Product cycle dude.
