@Brix25: would it be such a crime for you to "Unlock" your V800? That way you could use it on either network.
@Aya: you guys are all oppressing me with your fancy phones, I think I too should upgrade. Which phone will you recommend? Should be a smartphone, non flip, and not too bulky

@AYA: What else to do, the Symbian platform didn't really impress me that much so Sendo X had to go. So, am fully sold out to the other side of the convergence...the pda side.

@amby: The V800 was loaned to me by SE South Africa...would never buy either the V/Z800 which IMO is a bit too much of a muchness. The only upside of the phone is the expandable memory. I'd like to play around with 6680 which has been launched locally by MTN...unbranded, it's not available on Voda as they insist on branding their phones. This message was posted from a WAP device

does anyone know if a SE P 910's functions make it a pda. I have being talking to glo people who say it is not and that that is why glo direct will not work on it. if it is not a pda, what is the objective difference and is there any upgrade to making it one.

Of course, GloDirect works on the P910. It worked on my P800, a less capable phone.

What exactly do the Glo guys mean? Get that device to me and I'll have it working with GloDirect in less than 15 minutes.

@ambyzown: No flip? That's hard. P-series got flip; 9300 sort of; 9500 sort of....

Get a P-series phone and detach the flip like I did. Cool

Thanks Aya, I thought so too, but what do you think about the Nokia 6680 Brix talked about, how would you compare it with the P910i? They're both in the same price category. I'm not really a nokia fan though.

@amby: The 6680 has been the most anticipated phone in SA this year for two simple reasons: EDGE & 3G. Ok, some people have issues with Series 60 but this phone makes you overlook those issues. Definitely my next phone if SE don't come with something solid over the next 6 months. This message was posted from a WAP device

UMTS & EDGE really aren't selling points for me, because I wouldn't be able to exploit those features here.
