I have a question with the use of the MyPhoneExplorer 1.4.1. I just downloaded my own copy of the software and started to set it up. I'm using a bluetooth connection through my USB port. Everytime I search for my bluetooth device which is my z520i, it always shows an error message:
"Search completed.
No device found!
Tipps:
• Take of the battery of your phone for 2 minutes
• Restart your computer
• If you use Bluetooth: Ensure that bluetooth is activated on your mobile and that the service "Serial Port" is activated in your Bluetooth-Software"
What should I do to solve this problem? I really need this software for my phone since I have a lot of messages and contacts in my phonebook. I would like these things to be saved on my computer as well in order to have these serve as backup files. Thank you and I hope you would be able to help me.

This may be a very silly question, but here it is:
when I sinc, what happens:
1. the files go from the pc to the phone overwriting?
2. the reverse process?
3. or the newer ones overwrite the other independently of the location?
The MPE works like a charm with my K750 - XP sp2
Thanks

@moerl and the others: Thank you for the commendation
@frank_duncan. I'm sure the only thing you have to do is: Pair your phone to the BT-Connection and activate the serial communication. Then it will work
@vabopi: This is not a silly question.
MyPhoneExplorer has always more priority than the phone.
Item created in phone -> on Sync it will be transfered to MPE
Item deleted in the phone -> also will be deleted in MPE
Item edited in phone -> also will be edited in MPE
and all visa versa

Well, right now, I'm using the XTNDConnect Blue Manager software to transfer my files from my pc to my phone and from my phone to my pc. It's working now, but of course, I know that MyPhoneExplorer will give me better functionalities as I've read in your posts and some other comments about it. My Bluetooth thing that's connected to my USB is just a generic one.
By the way, how do I pair up my device? Oh well, I guess it's paired up already since I'm being able to transfer files to and from my phone.
So what do I have to do now? Thanks guys! Ü I'm very sorry to bother all of you.

First, let me say that MyPhoneExplorer is an excellent program, and has been a great use to me!
I have been using it since version 1.1, with my K750i (running R1BC002), CHINA localization. However, I have a problem with versions higher than 1.3.0. Here's why:
I'm encountering a problem with the later versions (starting from about 1.3.1, up to and including the latest version - 1.4.3). 1.3.0 did not exhibit this problem.
I connect via Toshiba Bluetooth. The connection works (it's on COM40), and all the usual function work (phonebook sync, SMS sync, etc)
BUT, my problem happens when I try to browse the phone's memory under \"Files\", then \"Phone Memory\". If I double click on any folder (Themes, Others, etc - all of them), MyPhoneExplorer simply exits (crashes).
(Identically, MyPhoneExplorer also crashes with browsing the MemoryStick)
I have uninstalled any previous versions before upgrading to a new version of MyPhoneExplorer.
MyPhoneExplorer did not exit with any error message. However, Windows comes up with the following:
AppName: myphoneexplorer.exe AppVer: 1.4.0.3 ModName: msvbvm60.dll
ModVer: 6.0.97.82 Offset: 0005d567

I found that problem too when I first tried to connect to my V800 after a year of faultless use with K700i. I figured I was just clicking on the wrong item. After it crashes, when you reconnect to MPE the Intro box appears very slowly, instead of instantly and MPE says unable to connect to COM Port because phone BT is currently busy.
Since version 1.4.1 though, I've not noticed any problem.
Got 1.4.2 now and love the new features. Being able to synch the clock on startup is a Godsend.

Please send me after the crash a logfile made from Version 1.4.3, you can find it in the appfolder.
Best regards FJ
