PUSH EMAIL!!!! I seriously want this feature!!
@Max_Wedge; Gotta ask you on this, because our challenges on SE with 3G vs no EDGE. In restrospect I've conceeded, yet new information since the last few months has me, well on the EDGE. As many of you know EDGE has been available here in Canada & the USA for just over 2 years now. However new developments of UMTS+HSDPA for 850/1900Mhz and will be full out by mid 2006; in both markets. YEah!! Now do you think SE will begin to make more quadband phones or phones supporting UMTS/HSDPA for North America?
Either way I think I was stupid for buying the z500a from my provider last week. I can still refund or return it for the k300i or pay a little more for the z520a (BT would be nice but not needed right now). This phone is just a place holder for the k750i & W900i in a few weeks to 1.5months top. What say you ... keep the z500a or goto the k300/z520a

I believe UMTS is on the rise. Even here in Australia all the networks have now released 3G services. (still no EDGE though). The W900 is a sign of how serious SE are about 3G. I don't believe they will ever devote much more energy to EDGE, as it will quickly become obsolete as 3G becomes common. However if lucky their may be a W910i (aka S710) model released with EDGE in deference to the US and Canadian market. If they do it could well be the last edge phone from SE
If you waited and got the W900, then the phone will still be useable on 3G services as well as a great camera and music phone. If an EDGE version of W900 with UMTS as well comes out, you would have the bestof both worlds

I still prefer the metallic look design of the S700i, the W900 looks to much a 'youth' phone, not a business phone like the S700 was.
Ok, there the P-series for business users, but for those who wanted smaller but still want a large screen the S700/W900 are good. I wonder if SE will release an normal version of this W900i for business user.

@P900. Ah Ha! Thats certainly true. I would miss that little feature.
@Dirk. Nice pic. Reminds me of why got the S700 in the first place and reminds me to get a new housing too.
I think I prefer the look of the S700 to the W900i. Silver just looks better although the paint does tend to wear off after a while.

1 thing which no one has mentioned is the size of the 'photo light' on the W900 compared the the W800. It's shrunk!!
The W900 has a small circular light, whereas the W800 has 2 (at least) LED's side by side, I sure hope the W900's is a bright as the light on the W800 cause that always amazes ppl when i blind them in the face!!

Bengalboy, long time no see!
Glad your reviews are still on point. (on that other site ... you know which one although I'm hoping you already forgot it members tried to diss the bunny's and yet their the same ones trying to get their digits.) Enjoy them, with a nice Cuban & a nice shot of Whiskey!
I'll be returning my z500a >>its just too pathetic a phone for me because the wireless provider really screwed it up (cant turn off active flip withouth a headset inserted.)
And I'll be getting the W900i just before Xmas. I do hope SE forgets about EDGE and just makes both the W900i/P990i with UMTS on the 850/1900mhz bands for North America.

Hey Prom, look for the w600 next week on Cingular. As for the W900, unfortunately, no plans for a U.S. UMTS version although its very cool without the feature on just GPRS transmissions....
SE is releasing a ton of new models this year,,,, and Cingular is going UMTS 1st quarter of next year in 21 major markets according to the buzz I was hearing in the Cingular hospitality tent at the Alabama/LSU game....
Got to believe alot of those new handsets are gonna be destined for the U.S. market and Cingular's new network. SE is focusing on low cost handsets and a few high end camera/MP3 handsets.. the 990 is nice, but, for a P.I.M.P. like me just too much of an, old, old thing... The P800 was the first true convergence device and way ahead of the times when it was released..but the 990 is just another slick re-incarnation of that device...still very nice.... but nothing really new... I'll be posting some photos of it in a week or so and hope to have a nice comparison of it vs. the new Windows Mobile OS phones up within the month..
As for the "other site"...... well, it always took a backseat to Esato on SE phones...
