Installing Boot Camp allows you to re-partition your HD 'on-the-fly' so you shouldn't need to use Disk Utility.
If, however, you do need to, just boot up from the Install DVD by holding C at startup, then before actually proceeding with the install, choose 'Disk Utility' from one of the menus at the top of the screen (can't remember exactly which one!).
P.S. I'm gonna be out of the country and without net access for the next 10 days, so if I don't seem to be answering any questions you'll know why!!

I personally want one, i went to have a look at them today, I saw the 17' pb and 15" mac book and gota say I actually think the 17" looks a bit odd and may be a bit big for me (the keybaord looks silly). Now there are 3 things stopping me buying /upgrading my mac, and its not actually the rpice, firstly im quite hesitent to swap as although I have heard allot of good about the macbooks I have also heard of allot of problems regarding noice and over heating... I also want firewire 800 and a dual layer disc drive, which only the 17" model have. If possible id like a blueray or hd drive, but i cant see that happening any time soon. The one other thing is im tempted to buy a windows lappy due to the better spec I could get and install mac and vista on it, but not to sure how well it would work....
anyway thats my opionion
@ dicky: you have downloaded a windows version aka .exe whcih aint compatable with mac, you need a mac version, but I heard microsoft stoped developing it for macs, duno how true that is. You want flip4 mac. Dowloadable from here:

Looks like the new 'Merom' processors are being branded Intel Core Centrino, and the desktop 'Conroe', are being rebranded Intel Core Viiv (pronounced like five) and Intel Core vPro, can't quite work out the difference between these two processors yet. There's also going to be an Intel Core Extreme. So lets wait and see what the new iMacs and PowerMacs get...
The release of the intel Core 2 Processors will take place this July/August, but I'm guessing that Apple won't miss the opportunity to get 64-bit processing in thier computers ASAP, so can we expect an all new line-up by september??
I'm gonna wait until Apple release OS X.5 before I purchase a MacBook, I don't want to go and spend £2000 on a laptop, only t spend £100 a couple of months later to get the latest OS...
Cheers

Ok so i want to put windows on my intel mac. I have installed boot camp, updated the firmware and done a software update, got a xp pro with service pack 2 disc and a blank cd and the instructions.
But when i got to open boot camp it quits and tells me to update the firmware which i have already down.
WTF!!!
