What FW do you use? SE has come out with 2 new FWs since I got my phone. Last one for about 2-3 weeks ago.. Check the p990 firmware thread.

Hi ppl i've just bought the P990i and upgraded the firmware to the latest available. And i'm facing too many problems, here are some:
1. In flip closed mode when I unlock the keypad with the slider, my phone displays ‘123 selected’.
2. During a call (in flip closed) if I increase/decrease the volume with the jog dial, it displays ‘123 selected’, and when I press done/ back, it displays ‘abc selected’.
3. If I have assigned a ring tone for a contact, sometimes it plays the
assigned ring tone and sometimes it plays the default ring tone. (Memory card or song file not changed). (Same with contact picture).
4. In the flip open mode when I press the activity menu button sometimes it opens the activity menu as it would open in flip closed.
5. When I view pictures in thumbnail mode, all the picture in the camera folder (taken from camera) are displayed very blurred, until opened.
6. When I make a call from my phone sometimes it happens that later when I check, the number is not there in the call list.
7. If the flip is closed and I put my phone in a cover (I had bought a Sony Ericsson leather cover for P800/P900), while sliding in, when the phone comes near the cover magnet it goes into flip open mode.
8. Is there an option where I can assign the phone not to ask me for the option of flight mode when I press the power key, like there was in its predecessors.
9. If I go in control panel, then connections manager, there is one- Ad-Hoc Bluetooth PAN; if I click on it, it show the status, which says connecting, and if I press close then it closes it, but as soon as I press back it switches it on again. I guess this might be using my battery unnecessarily. What is this? How can I turn this off?
10. When i play the golf game, the screen keeps flickering non stop, and the game hangs for about a second in b/w every now and then.
And obviously there are a lot of other small small problems.
Please Help!!!

3. Probably not the case... but when the USB-cable is connected of you have the phone in the dock, the phone doesn't communicate with the card, the computer does.
4. I have had this bug too. To get rid of it when happening open the activity meny in FC and close the activitymeny before opening the flip. It helps most of the times.
7. Lol.. this it because the screen feels the flip through a magnet in the flip. Guess the magnet in the cover reverse the magnet in the flip.
8. Yes. Tools/Control panel/ Unit/flight mode/
(Maby not exacly the names of the menus cause I translated it from the swedish menu-system.

YEP, saw this too, but restarting the phone will all of a sudden show all previously non-displayed call logging!
so the data is there, it is just not shown!?!

Has anyone tried installing Intelligolf Eagle edition?
When I try, the program downloads to the phone and runs the installation process right to the end. I then get the message "Cannot install. Authorisation failed". I can install the demo of Intelligolf as supplied with the phone without any problems.
Suggestions anyone please?

I have kicked up a fuss with my cell provider Vodafone UK, and asked them why they have sent me a 'butchered' phone, i.e. one they have screwed with.
Tomorrow I will take it to them and they will send it to SE. who will load a proper SE Firmware onto it, then hopefully I can use the UpdateService app for future bug fixes.

A small bug nobody ever mentioned,
a) when you use Card Scanner and after scanning and processing even if you press Cancel, the automated entry autamotically gets saved into the Contacts !!!! So you have to manually delete it.....
